Go 1.13.8 and Go 1.12.17 Released — Very minor releases with “fixes to the runtime, the crypto/x509, and net/http packages”.

macOS Go Binaries and Installer Identifiers Are Changing — The macOS Go package identifier namespace is changing from com.googlecode.* to org.golang.*. This is a very minor thing unless your infrastructure is relying upon the macOS Go installer having a specific identifier.

Google App Engine Now Offers a Runtime for Go 1.13 — It's in beta but brings App Engine into the module based world and "users are broadly reporting decreases of 20% - 50% in memory footprint."

Go 1.13.4 and Go 1.12.13 Released — Fixes some macOS Catalina installation issues and also includes minor fixes to net/http and syscall. As an observation, moving this newsletter to Fridays seems to have really paid off as point releases keep coming out late on Thursdays 😄

Go 1.13.3 and Go 1.12.12 Released — Two new point releases on the back of those we mentioned last week, though focused on fixes this time rather than security updates.

Go 1.13.2 and Go 1.12.11 Released — Releases to fix a recently reported security issue (separate to the one related to the ALB story above which was fixed in 1.13.1) around DSA public keys. There’s also a fix around negative slice indexes.

What's Coming in Go 1.14 — Although 1.14 is still a little way off (we only got 1.13 a month ago!), here’s one developer’s ‘personal picks’ for what’s new in the upcoming release.

Go 1.13.1 and 1.12.10 Released — These are minor releases to address a recently reported security issue in net/http where invalid HTTP/1.1 headers could be accepted and normalized.

Go 1.13 Release Candidate 1 Released — The next version of Go is almost with us. The downloads are here and the draft 1.13 release notes here if you want to see what’s new.

Go 1.12.8 and Go 1.11.13 Released — Earlier this week, engineers at Netflix disclosed a variety of HTTP/2 related vulnerabilities that have affected numerous HTTP/2 client implementations, including Go’s. These two Go releases fix the issues, as well as a URL parsing issue in net/url.

Github Godoc Chrome Extension — Adds a couple of godoc related features to GitHub repos when browsing in Chrome.

Go 1.13 Beta 1 Released — If you want to help out with testing the next version of Go.. The draft Go 1.13 release notes will also be helpful.

Go 1.12.6 and Go 1.11.11 Are Released — Relatively minor updates. “These releases include fixes to the compiler, the linker, the go command, and the crypto/x509, net/http, and os packages.” 1.11.11 sets a record for the most number of 1s in a Go release, for sure.

Go 1.12.5 and Go 1.11.10 Released — These are (very) minor releases to fix a handful of minor bugs.
