Full-Stack Developer

We’re looking for a new member of the team to work closely alongside our Senior Developer and Designers. There’s a list of Essential, Ideal and Bonus requirements below but above all, we’re looking for someone that’s excited to develop their skills as part of a small creative led studio. Your main role will include:

  • Managing and advancing existing websites
  • Handling bug fixes (client-side and server-side) from report to implementation
  • Shopify
  • Store set-up, theme development, store management.
  • Creating new websites
  • Static websites
  • Simple CMS-based websites
  • SPAs (Vue.js, React, Node.js etc.)
  • Maintaining web servers
  • Keeping software packages up-to-date
  • Keeping servers secure with the latest security patches

Our goal is to get you to a point where you can fully-manage and maintain websites independently as well as being able to create new websites from start to finish. With the support of the team we’ll help you get there so not all of the points below are essential, but you should have a good level of understanding is most of these areas.

What we need from you

  • An ability to get things done in reasonable timeframes whilst maintaining quality

  • Proficiency in HTML
  • Proficiency in CSS
  • Proficiency in Javascript (front-end and back-end)
  • Experience with Vue.js
  • Ability to write SPAs
  • Command-line experience
  • Working with Git
  • Experience with cross-browser development
  • Ability to write scalable, readable, testable and maintainable code


  • An eye for UI design and understanding of UX
  • Sketch
  • Sass
  • Understanding of the Shopify system
  • Experience with Shopify theme development
  • Ruby (some experience) or similar language (Python)
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails or a similar web framework
  • Experience with static site generators
  • Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Nuxt.js


  • Experience with GitLab and GitHub
  • Experience with React
  • Experience with MailChimp
  • Understanding and experience of REST APIs
  • Understanding and experience of GraphQL APIs
  • Experience with AWS – S3, CloudFront etc.
  • Experience with cloud-based web servers (provisioning & management)

We are a studio of designers, developers, photographers and filmmakers working in Borough, London (with a second office in New York). Our clients range from large multi-nationals (Warner Bros, Soho House) to small privately owned companies (Workshop Coffee, The Armoury and St. JOHN).
