She was set to have one of her biggest acting roles to date until her Amazon series Daisy Jones & The Six was delayed by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

But Camila Morrone was back on set in Los Angeles after a year-and-a-half delay as she settled into character in a stylish brown suede skirt that fit the show's 1970s period trappings.

The 24-year-old model and girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio was seen heading to shoot a scene with her costar Sebastian Chacon joining her in a similarly period-appropriate costume.

Blast from the past: Camila Morrone, 24, was dressed for the '70s in a brown suede skirt and leather boots as she got in costume on the set of Daisy Jones & The Six in LA on Wednesday

Camila's brown skirt hugged her hips and featured some delicate white floral stitching on the front.

She paired the skirt with a multicolored striped mock turtleneck, which she tucked in, and she elevated her 5ft9in stature with brown knee-high leather boots.

The Valley Girl actress played up the period clothing with a striking purple velvet coat that she slipped into.

She had her long brunette locks parted down the middle and fanned across her chest, and she observed Covid-19 protocols on set by wearing a plastic face shield.

Camila's costar Sebastian Chacon was dressed in a less colorful but more period appropriate costume with a brown-and-green patterned shirt tucked into striped brown pants with a matching leather belt.

His character dressed down with black sneakers, and he wore his hair in thick black curls.

The cast began filming this week, and Camila marked the return to set on Monday with some black-and-white photos of her costars.

She was pictured with her leg in a bicycle basket as posed with Riley Keough, who plays the title character, along with Suki Waterhouse, Sam Claflin, Nabiyah Be, Joshua Whitehouse, Will Harrison and Chacon.

The actors all appeared to be hanging out after a day of shooting on a studio backlot.

Back in action: 'March 2020 we got shut down one week before production. A year and a half later, we finally start our long awaited first day on this show,' Camila wrote

'We cannot wait to give you sex, drugs, rock and roll, and a whole lotta drama #daisyjonesandthesix @amazonprimevideo let’s go to the 70s man!!! ☮️ ✌❤️.'

In the photos, Waterhouse held aloft a copy of Taylor Jenkins Reid innovative novel, which Daisy Jones & The Six is based on.

Rather than following a traditional narrative, the book is comprised almost completely of dialogue and takes the form of interview transcripts for a documentary about the fictional band.

Keough stars as the leader of a band that becomes massively popular in the 1970s before imploding at the height of its fame.

Camila's latest public outing came on Saturday, when she showed off a far more modern ensemble at the opening gala for the Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures.

The runway star–turned–film star wore a striking cropped black blazer without a shirt and paired it with cropped slacks, fishnet sleeves and black stilettos.

Missing from the gala was her boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio, 46, whom she's been since 2017, after Al Pacino introduced the two.

Pacino, 81, was previously in a long-term relationship with her mother Lucila Solá from 2008 to 2019, and Camila still refers to him as her stepfather.

She and Leonardo have kept their relationship largely out of the spotlight, though they signaled a more public period after making their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2020 Academy Awards, where Leo was nominated for Best Actor for his role as a washed up movie star in Quentin Tarantino's film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
