Apple Suddenly 'Confirms' Three Radical New iPhones

We know a lot about Apple ’s upcoming new iPhones: their size changes, reduced prices, smart technology and inherent compromises. But now Apple itself has suddenly confirmed the existence of these new models...

Spotted by Consomac, Apple has chosen to publicly file identifiers for all its new iPhones in the Eurasian database, and it confirms three distinct designs will be coming to market.

The iPhone model identifiers are: A1920, A1921, A1984, A2097, A2098, A2099 and A2101, A2103, A2104, A2105, and A2106. There are three clear runs here: A19, A20 and A21.

Logic would suggest these are arranged by price with the A19 referring to the new 6.1-inch budget iPhone X (details), the A20 being the second generation 5.8-inch iPhone X (details) and A21 the massive 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus (details), we can’t say for sure as they may be ordered by size. That said, three iPhone X-inspired designs are coming.

And Apple is not being subtle about it.

In its filing, the Eurasian database lists all the devices as running iOS 12 - the next generation of iOS which Apple historically launches alongside new iPhones every September. And one further detail: these numbers don’t refer to new iPads because last week Consomac already identified them from the same database.

Finally, as you might expect from an official regulatory body, the Eurasian database is never wrong. Past Apple filings on it have uncovered the iPhone 7, Apple Watch series, AirPods and the new entry-level iPad launched earlier this year.

While we already know the new iPhones won’t be perfect (in some significant ways), for the first time in years Apple will launch not one, not two, but three truly exciting upgrades. And when coupled with the aforementioned yet pleasantly surprisingly price cuts, the iPhone looks set for one of its strongest generations in years…
